The Dotul Door & Hinge Jamb Machine – Model DT-504 machines for the hinge mortise on the door and jamb only, both interior and exterior doors and jambs.
Features and Benefits:
Heavy-duty frame that will accommodate a 1-0 to 3-6 door width (2” increments); easily adjustable with two pins and balanced door platform.
Standard Dotul butt router is used to machine for the hinge mortise on the door and jamb - giving greater flexibility for 3” x 3” ~ 5” x 5” ¼ or 5/8 radius.
Pneumatic jamb clamping and raising of the jamb – ensures a perfect mortise.
Dust collection on the butt router – making for a cleaner work environment.
Overhead arms are installed to hang inline air tools – making it convenient for the operator.
Standard Dotul index bars are used for quick change over of hinge patterns – reducing labor and improving through put time.
1¾ HP Dewalt 616 router, motor w/tools - more HP for hardwoods and durability.
½” Threaded Mandrel with ½” Carbide Tip Router Bit - easy to change the router bits, no special adjustment needed.
Dust Collection Kit (Less Vacuum Unit) standard feature - can be hooked up to a central dust collection system or free-standing vacuum.
Additional features:
1. The DT-504 has air assist for the door bed assembly that neutralizes the weight of the door bed and makes it very easy to move up and down. We have two pins you pull out on either side, then the bed will move up or down very easily and lock in at 2” increments.
2. The DT-504 has five (5) jamb clamps instead of two (2) jamb clamps, this helps straighten out any jambs that might be slightly bowed to give a better-quality hinge mortise. Same as Dotul has on their larger machines. (Maverick & Nomad)
3. The DT-504 can hinge mortise up to a 9-0 tall door & jamb.
4. The DT-504 uses linear bearings in the hinge router which slide easier which is better for the operator. They also hold up to pitch build up better than other options.
5. The DT-504 has six (6) rollers in the door bed which helps the door roll in better.
6. The DT-504 has forklift pockets to move the machine around easily if needed.
7. The DT-504 has micro adjustments on the top and bottom to move the 2” increments up or down if there are different door widths that are not the nominal 2” increments. So if you had a 28.5” door, you would be able to adjust for that if needed.
