The Dotul Semi Automated Assembly Table has been designed for the assembly of a prehung door units along
with enhancing the output of vertical prehung door machinery lines. With the aid of the Dotul Unloader
(Model DT-540) a door can easily be moved from the prehung door machine to the Dotul Semi Automated
Assembly Table for reliable, accurate and improved assembly time of a single prehung interior door unit.
The DT-550 is manually indexed to the correct door width by depressing a lever and moving the adjustable
side in or out to the desired width door. The single door with a hinge jamb attached is slid onto the DT-550
and positioned for either LH or RH swings. The door is then lowered down into the assembly table and the
strike jamb and header are placed in position. The operator manually aligns the strike and hinge jamb with
the header. Once that is done, then the operator clamps the prehung door unit and then pushes the button to
fire the staples through the backs of the hinge and strike jamb into the header. Staple gun pattern is preset
for the width of the jamb. Once the staple guns have cycled, they return to their home position and the
operator releases the clamps and pushes a button to raise the door unit to slide the finished prehung door off
to a roller conveyor, packaging line or cart.
